Plastic Surgery During Covid-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has been a time of isolation, as we all try to adjust to social distancing guidelines and quarantine protocols. Not only are we separated from friends and family, but also acquaintances, coworkers, and strangers. We’re working from home whenever possible, and avoiding public spaces. When we do leave our homes, we’re wearing masks that cover half of our faces. So, between staying at home and wearing face coverings, one might think that the pandemic has made people care less about the way we look. However, according to a survey by The American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Americans  are actually feeling more positive about cosmetic procedures amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the ASPS survey, 49% of Americans who had never had plastic surgery before were open do having a cosmetic procedure in the future, and 29% of respondents said that they were interested in a specific procedure.

So, Americans are interested in getting cosmetic procedures done amidst COVID-19, even if no one else will see it for some time. If you’ve been thinking about getting a cosmetic procedure done, now might actually be the perfect time to do it. Working from home allows for an easy, private recovery, without having to worry about the appearance of bruising or swelling. You can feel beautiful and confident for yourself and your own eyes, before bringing anyone else into the equation. And when we’ve beaten COVID and we’re ready to go back out into the world, you’ll look spectacular at reunions with friends and family. Even just going shopping and running errands, you’ll have some extra confidence showing off your new look.
