What is a Mini Neck Lift
A mini neck lift is a shorter-incision version of a neck lift that tightens the neck through a small incision beneath the chin, sometimes paired with short incisions near the ears. Other common names include short-scar neck lift, limited-incision neck lift, or minimal-incision neck lift.
The technique targets early-to-moderate neck aging: mild skin laxity, vertical neck bands, and fullness under the chin. Because the incisions are shorter, less skin can be removed than during a traditional neck lift, so the procedure suits patients whose neck skin has started to loosen but still has reasonable elasticity.
Mini Neck Lift vs. Traditional Neck Lift
A mini neck lift uses shorter incisions and corrects less laxity than a traditional neck lift. The traditional approach runs an incision from the sideburn, around the ear, and into the hairline behind it, giving the surgeon room to lift and trim significant loose skin along the jaw and neck.

What Causes Neck Sagging?

With age, the inner edges of this muscle can separate and form the vertical cords many patients call neck bands, softening the angle between the jaw and neck.

Liposuction alone does not tighten loose skin, so it works best for patients whose main concern is a double chin and whose skin still retracts well.
